Traffic stop may lead police to New Wilmington bank robber
Police are investigating a bank robbery in New Wilmington that may have taken an unusual twist.Officials said the Huntington Bank was robbed Tuesday afternoon. Authorities said a man walked into the bank and used a deposit slip to demand cash. He also claimed to have a gun.The man ran off after the teller gave him an unknown amount of money, police said.A short time later, a police officer stopped a man and woman for speeding, but when the officer heard about the bank robbery on his radio, he left the couple to get to the bank.
